Joyce Mitchell Charged in Aiding Richard Matt and David Sweat in Prison Escape!
Joyce Mitchell, 51, employee at the Clinton Correctional Facility, provided "material support" to the prisoners, Richard Matt and David Sweat, police said at a news conference today. According to authorities she developed a relationship with Matt and subsequently aided Matt and Sweat. She has been arrested for Promoting Prison Contraband 1st degree, a class D felony and Criminal Facilitation 4th degree, a class A misdemeanor. Matt and Sweat remain at large with over 800 members of law enforcement searching for them. #stevekardian
